Travel Grants to assist with International Conference Attendance

The NZ National Commission for UNESCO has limited funds available to assist New Zealanders wishing to attend international conferences. We will consider funding up to 50% of the costs of meeting participation (including accomodation, daily allowances and registration) based on economy class return airfares.

The conference, seminar or meeting for which participation or sponsorship funding is sought must fit into one of the following categories:

i.    The meeting is an official UNESCO meeting;

ii    The meeting is organised by an NGO which is formally affiliated to UNESCO and has direct links to UNESCO's programme; or

iii.    Where the meeting does not meet criteria i) and ii) above - participation or sponsorship of the meeting must fall within the National Commission's Strategic Plan and/or a Sub Commission's action plan.
